Emily Hughes, PT, DPT, completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Jefferson College of Rehabilitation Sciences in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Emily’s passion for PT began when she experienced injuries throughout her 4 years as an undergraduate playing singles and doubles on Loyola University Maryland DI’s tennis team. During her time in PT school, she gained experience treating many patients across the life span in outpatient orthopedics in Gardnerville, NV and Marlton, NJ as well as experience in home health in Fairfax, VA. Emily also has an interest in treating pelvic floor physical therapy and had the opportunity to have an externship in Baltimore, MD at a private pelvic floor clinic, specializing in prenatal and postpartum care, urinary incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse just to name a few. Emily has a strong passion to promote awareness of the benefits of women's health services, specifically pelvic floor therapy, in the medical community through presentations and fundraisers.

Treating from a holistic and functional movement perspective, Emily’s empathetic and compassionate nature allows her to connect with her patients through building a relationship with her clients and building a personalized treatment program that is valuable to each patient she treats.

When not in the clinic, Emily is trying new restaurants and activities a city offers, or outdoors traveling, hiking or skiing with her friends and family.
