Hear what some of our staff have to say about working at Peak. And no, we didn’t pay them to say these nice things 😊
Sam Kushner, PT, DPT, Assistant Clinic Manager (Hanover)

I completed my first clinical rotation at Peak and had the pleasure of joining the Peak staff a little over 2 years ago. Peak provides many opportunities for new employees that most other Physical Therapy companies do not. Peak prioritizes establishing an individualized transition plan for new employees to become comfortable with day-to-day operations, documentation and mentoring to address areas for clinical development. When appropriate, clinicians have the opportunity to pursue specialties in care such as rehabilitation in vestibular disorders, TMD, aquatic therapy, lymphedema, pelvic health and many more. Peak provides exceptional support for continuing education and encourages Samemployees to expand their knowledge base in areas of interest. I have had the pleasure in developing my skills in sports-specific medicine, with a focus on “Return-to-sport” evaluation and rehabilitation. We have two locations that have access to turf and basketball/volleyball courts, where when appropriate, patients are transitioned to sport-specific rehabilitation in these environments. So far, I have received nothing but excellent feedback from patients, parents, coaches, surgeons and many other disciplines as this is a vital area in rehabilitation that is often missed or over-looked. At Peak, we take an enormous amount of pride in providing all of our patients with individualized care, tailored to their specific goals. Whether you are a new graduate or a clinician with years of experience, Peak is a fantastic company to work for and grow as a health care professional.

Ruth Maloney, DPT, Director of Pelvic Health (Scituate and Norwell)

I have worked at Peak for two and a half years and have found it to be a welcoming and supportive environment. Peak values experiences and encourages physical therapists to grow and develop through continuing education and mentoring. Our focus is on finding our passion within the physical therapy field and Ruththen sharing that passion with our patients and colleagues. Because of this, we have developed strong relationships with other medical professionals and within the communities that we serve. As the Director of the Pelvic Health program, I am especially grateful for the support from our company. We are given 45 minute, 1:1 treatment sessions with an educated Administrative staff. Our patients feel safe and secure in our private treatment rooms and our staff are given the tools they need to treat with the upmost care. I can leave work each evening feeling confident that I have given the best care to my patients and that my colleagues and company are doing the same.

Sarah Hanson, PT, DPT, CLT, Clinic Manager (Quincy)

I was fortunate to join Peak 7 years into my career. Compared to other clinics that may focus heavily on the "numbers," Peak places patient care as a top priority. The structure of management allows for open and frequent communication and provides Sarahfor appropriate mentorship. Continuing education is encouraged not just for what might help the business, but also to benefit the interests of the therapists and the needs of the community. In establishing the lymphedema program, I have been well supported in order to create an experience that provides both myself and the patient with treatment time to produce optimal results. I am able to work with PTs in various specialties including aquatics, TMD, vestibular, pelvic floor PT, and dry needling. This allows me to not only learn from them, but to refer patients as appropriate to ensure top quality care. Peak is also focused on giving back to the community, with fun opportunities such as meals on wheels participation during work hours. Joining Peak is an excellent opportunity to grow personally, clinically, and professionally.

Jacqueline DeFreitas, PT, DPT, Director of Aquatics (Norwell)

I have been a physical therapist for 6 years at Peak. In the fast-paced world of outpatient therapy, Peak is a very supportive company of physical therapists, making professional growth and patient care top priority. I came from a setting where I was seeing up to 25 patients per day. As a relatively new therapist, I was nervous that I would burn out too quickly in my young career. Coming to Peak was the best decision I could have made. In my time here I have had the chance to learn many specialties outside of typical orthopedic practice such as aquatic therapy, concussion management, vestibular treatment, and TMD treatment. I work alongside PT’s of many different ages and backgrounds which has contributed to my growth. Patient care is top priority here and PT’s are often provided with support staff such as rehab aides and on site athletic trainers. This is a dynamic company and as it grows, the opportunity for promotion and taking on new roles for the company is always here. During my time I have had the chance to work in all of the offices, work closely with the marketing department, mentor and train new employees, and take on the role as clinic manager. If you are looking for a team based atmosphere with room to grow professionally and clinically, Peak is a great fit for you.
